E Mute – ‘I Can Pay For It’, EP and video out now

There’s a long association between rock music and social commentary – whether it be the protest songs of the 70s or the punk movement of the 80s, revolution is rarely far from the mind of rock.

The latest iteration of this comes in the form of new EP ‘I Can Pay For It’, from the entertaining pen of alt-rock outfit E Mute.

It’s been some time now that the UK has been in political and economic turmoil, and in the grand tradition, songwriter Theo Mak has taken inspiration from his anti-establishment views and put them to music with this solid five song collection. Many will share his views, and even those who don’t will likely find a lot here to enjoy.
